WW Flat Display Manufacturer Future Plan and Strategy

Sharp        
- Sharp Launched Aquos R series LCD TV in Japan from 42", 46", 52", 57", and 65" support full HD resolution.
- Planned to set up world first G10 LCD panel plant in Japan to support further larger size LCD TV business
Sony
- Sony Launched BRAVIA  J series network-enabled LCD TV (DLNA), 20"/26"/32"/40". J5000 40" & 32" also featuring 120Hz Motion Flow technology to reduce blur.
- Sony's concentration on >40'' LCD TV and Full HD LCD TV are exceeded WW aveg. Shipment q'ty.
- 11'' OLED TV will start to hit market by 2007 end.
Panasonic
- Launched new 700 & 70 series Plasma & world first full HD 42" plasma in Japan.
- will focus on developing Full HD PDP TV lineup from 42''~103'' .
- Set WW 1st PDP plant-G5 in Japan with more than 1M panel per month, start mass production in 2009
Hitachi
- Introduced iVDR portable storage in new XR01 & HR01 HDTV, a portable storage can plugged into compatible bay on video recorder, PC, camcorder, etc. 37" Full HD LCD also featuring IPS Aphla 120Hz panel
Samsung
- Continue Bordeaux brand successful strategy in WW market, having its first top market share in Europe.
- Will step forward than expected schedule to produce G8- 46'' and 52'' LCD TV in 2007 summer.
- Reported, Samsung planned to setup G10 panel plant
- Next movement towards Public Display & Flexible Display development.
LG   
- LG unveil 1080p LCD HDTV LY95, LF66, LC55, LC46 LCD HD TVs in the UK
- LPL Start 8G LCD plan soon in end of 2008 or 2009
- LG LCD TV assembly plants in Poland, planned capacity of 2.4M units in 2007, expanding to 10M units per year by 2011.

Poland plant plays a critical role in supplying the European LCD market, which as of March 2007 with 37% of the global market.
