Sony, Hitachi, Sharp and Panasonic unveil new HDTVs

Sony BRAVIA J Series network-enabled LCD TV Launch
Sony launch its DLNA network-enabled J series LCDs lined up for release in Japan, which also coming to US & Europe soon. New J5000 40” & 32” LCD, featuring 120Hz MotionFlow technology to reduce blurring, and 10-bit color. Lower-end J3000 series, only the 40”model has 10 bit color, with a 1,600:1 contrast ratio while the 32”, 26” and 20”. J5000 series HDTVs available in Japan May 25th, while J3000 series available start from April 25th.

Hitachi's XR01 and HR01 series HDTVs -- iVDR portable storage
The new XR01 and HR01 series which integrated iVDR removable storage module -- a portable storage can be plugged into compatible bays on your video recorder, PC, camcorder, etc, for easy portability of your media. The XR01 series 50” P50-XR01 Full HD ALIS plasma (by mid-May) and 37” L37-XR01 Full HD IPSα (120Hz) LCD (by April 20th).
Sharp Aquos R series Launch
Sharp Japan launch new flagship Aquos R series, the 5 new TV start from 42", 46", 52", 57" and 65" support full HD resolution. Contrast ratio increased to 3000:1, and 3ms response time. The new Sharp Aquos R series had been launched in Japan on March 10.
Panasonic Launches New 700 series & 70 series of Plasma TVs
Panasonic introduced the new high-end PZ700 Series of 1080p resolution VIERA plasma TVs including two 42” and two 50” models. The 42-inch models are the smallest screen size plasma available in the full high-definition TVs. All 4 models will be available in Japan on April 27.
Panasonic also introduced six models of the new PX70 Series of VIERA plasma high-definition TVs on the same day. They come in 37 inches (TH-37PX70SK, TH-37PX70S, TH-37PX70), 42 inches (TH-42PX70SK, TH-42PX70) and 50 inches (TH-50PX70). All 6 models will be available in Japan on April 27 |
